We deliver Crime Scene Investigation events for young people. This is a hugely popular and enjoyable experience for them. These are particularly suitable for Key Stages 2-4 and Sixth Form.

The full-day consists of a fun packed, informative, crime scene investigation. Students explore some, or all, of the following : -

Taking fingerprints and "lifting" hidden marks
Casting thieves shoe marks and footprints
Creating "photofit" or "mug" shots using real police software.
Take part in a "mock" trial (this highlights an outline of the Judiciary, can align with Citizenship and PSHE)

Ballistics (Study of firearms and bullets)
Forensic Dentistry (Casting of teeth,examination of bite marks)
Blood Spatter Pattern Analysis (By popular demand-fake blood!)
Hair and Fibre Workshop

The events are fully supported by differentiated lesson plans. The experience aligns with the National Curriculum. Our tutors come from a wide base of experience including:- the police service, Forensic Science Service and the teaching profession. Recently, we scored an "outstanding" grade on the OFSTED template during a lesson observation.

Students are given personal protective equipment (PPE) as used by crime scene examiners. This adds to the authenticity and fun. Each student is given a certificate of attendance.
